[/color]KEERA TANYA UFTON
{Would you save, would you save my life? Had the girl that you knew not died.}
Nickname(s): Kiki, Ufton
Nationality: Slovakian - Irish
Age: 39
Gender: Female
Alliance: Black Order
Job: General
Appearance:
Keera stands at 5’8”, an intimidating height on anyone. Her figure is relatively slim, albeit with some muscle. She has a rather feminine appearance, with waist length hair, black in colour and quite straight. It slides over one side of her face, pinned up in an ‘Asian style’ bun and with four long braids. Her eyes are a normal brown colour and almost permanently narrowed. From her ears hang small red circles.
Keera used to wear her exorcist uniform, the blue and silver markings of an important Order member. Now, she is seen wearing the black and gold uniform of a General. Her jacket hangs on her shoulders, only one button done up over her chest and holding it in place. The sleeves are long, dangling just past her fingertips hiding the scars on her arms. Beneath it is a black tank top, hiding the scars that cover her stomach and chest. Her skirt is similar to her previous one, short and pleated, a golden belt holding it around her waist. Her legs are covered with black socks, leaving a thin strip of skin bare between the top and her skirt. In exchange for her old black boots, are more elaborate ones. Now, there are chains and studs looped from the lip of the boot.
Personality:
Keera is overconfident to the point of being cocky and has a strong love for mischief and good fun. When she wants to be she can be intelligent and resourceful, often being able to find ways out of complex situations using only what she has to hand. Fighting, she finds, can drive almost everything else out of her mind. And being an exorcist gives her a sense of being useful to the world.
However Keera also struggles with team-work as she often ignores the input of others, preferring to act on her own ideas regardless of what everyone else is doing. It’s not so much that she is arrogant as it is that she feels that she must always push to be the best that she can be and that submitting to other people is a sign of weakness. Since she has been diagnosed with her illness she has become increasingly withdrawn from people. It has changed her whole view on life, in that she now sees the possibility for loss in every new experience. She has become fearful of allowing long-term bonds to form between her and other people. It’s a cause that will affect everyone she knows even when she’s no longer there, and she has allowed it to become her purpose. Unusually for an exorcist she is not at all religious, finding that aspect of the job endlessly irritating. Believing that humans can only survive if they have as many fighters as possible.

Innocence Name: Aingealeite
Type: Equipment
Form: Aingealeite appears like two normal black fans made of cloth pulled taught when the fans are unfolded. The sides are made of metal painted black. When fighting a small piece of red string is tied around the user’s wrist to stop it from being dropped so easily. Since Aingealeite is mainly offensive, specializing in long range attacks, there isn't much defensive power meaning the user must be swift and agile. It is no good at close range. It appears the same, but shrouded in a white-green glow when activated.
Special Attacks and Abilities:
Attack~ This is the natural ability of the two fans. It doesn't require any more effort than activating the innocence. It allows the user to alter the paths of air particles, effectively controlling the wind. To a certain degree.
Wind dance~ Makes wind move quickly enough to create enough friction so that the enemy is heated and quite often fatally burnt.
Hell Fire~ The two fans conjure up a roaring fire which can be used to attack an enemy at will. However to use this move she has to put all of her energy and willpower into the fire, making this a dangerous move for her to perform.
Chránič~ The main defense. The two fans create a sort of wind barrier around the user and up to two other people. It takes concentration, but normally provides an effective shield.
Strengths:
- Great for ranged combat.
- Portable
- Strong attacks
Weaknesses:
- Useless at close range.
- Often leaves the wielder tired once deactivated.
- Takes a lot of energy and concentration.
History:
Keera grew up in Dublin, Ireland with her mother. Before she turned five she was oblivious to the missing presence of her father. A few days after she turned five she turned to her mother and spoke one sentence that Sarah Ufton had been wishing she’d never hear.
“Where’s Daddy?”
It was only two years later when she got the answer from her mother. Her father it turned out had been a Slovakian business man who had been called over to Ireland for some important business. Around two months before Keera’s birth he had to hurry over to Slovakia as his company was swiftly falling downhill. Upon hearing that he had never tried to make contact with her mother again Keera left the subject with a bitter feeling to wards her father. After that her and her mother slowly began to grow apart. Sarah often wishing that Keera was a smart and well behaved girl, ‘like her father’, contrary to Keera’s happy-go-lucky attitude. This rift between the two of them finally broke when Keera was 12. Somewhere inside of Keera a nerve snapped and told her what to do. That night she packed her backs and ran off. She then turned to the only person she could think of. Her aunt Jo.
Sarah and Jo had never been the best of friends, but they got on alright. So Jo was startled when her little niece turned up on her doorstep at midnight. After hearing about what was going on Jo phoned Sarah. The thing was, that Keera refused to leave, and Jo was happy for the girl to stay with her, this caused the settlement that Sarah could visit her daughter whenever she wanted, as long as Keera behaved for ‘Aunt Jo’. Slowly this caused a rift between Jo and Sarah and by the time Keera was 14 they no longer spoke. This was nothing compared to what Keera had left to experience.
When she was 15, after many tests and hospital appointments she was diagnosed with a fatal illness. Since then she has been taking tablets to attempt to slow the process and often has to rest if she is active for too long. She was able to take the tablets regularly thanks to the hawk-like eyes of her aunt. That was until she turned 18 and decided for her own sake to move out. In 4 months she had packed her bags and moved from Dublin to London. Now she had a cheap but not-to-shabby apartment all to herself.
One night, on the way home from her little part time job, Keera heard something strange. When she got to the source of the commotion she saw several, well, things, shooting like hell at a bunch of people. As she stood to watch the attack Keera sidled into the shadows and bunched up her eyes, tear leaking out. The whole attack took about an hour, and by the end of it Keera sat, a weeping mess, against the pillar whose shadow she had been hiding in. It would be another year before she could help this.
Again, something similar happened, but right in front of Keera this time. Several Akuma appeared, and again started to shoot at the humans. However a couple had their sights set on her. Keera had screwed her eyes up and covered her ears before running. After a while she noticed a heat in the necklace that her mother had given her. Upon examining it she seemed to accept the fact that it was glowing. She turned, in time to see a wind seemingly slice the monsters into pieces.
It wasn’t long then, before she was found and decided to join the Order. But for the first couple of months she spent her time ignoring everything else and examining the locket from her mother. Even now she always worries about her mother.
After a rocky two years, she began to integrate herself. It didn’t go well, with her rather cold and often violent personality causing far too much trouble. One or two people picked her out, would sit with her when she ate and, despite her prejudices, she even accepted the Finder. After a while, they began to break through her barriers, with their cheerful and friendly faces, optimistic personalities and cheeky attitudes, the duo were originally surprised to discover Keera’s joking side, but the trio wasted no time, whiling away any spare time with practical jokes. She even smiled sometimes.
Of course, things don’t last. Whilst on a mission in Africa, Keera was heavily injured, her long awaited death finally caught up to her. She was rushed to a hospital, unconscious and weak.
At twenty six years of age, she was confined to a hospital bed. Her once exciting days now consisted of daytime television, cakes and more doctors than she’d ever had nightmares of in her life. She spent a lot of time alternating between pissed off, sleeping and playing jokes on the doctors. Her jokes kept her sane, although she found it tough. Numerous times she was reprimanded for injuring doctors as they attempted to help her, throwing crutches at one and promptly falling over. She then demanded to be carried over to this doctor, and preceded to attempt to hit him over the head with her fan.
When she was told that she could finally be released, after just over a year of healing (prolonged by her rather active antics), she had reached twenty eight years old. Eager to get back to her previous life, she was met with a fate she’d never thought of. The young Finder that she’d made fun of so much, who’d tried to braid her hair more than once, had been killed on a mission. Horrified, she learnt of her other friends transfer to the Asian branch, working in the more advanced Science department across the world. The biggest bombshell had not yet fallen.
While she had been hospitalized, the doctors had worked night after night, and given her the greatest gift that they could have. Instead of the meagre age of twenty nine, she was now going to live to at least forty. Her whole world shook. Everything she’d done had been based on this deadline, this situation. Suddenly it was gone. Suddenly she had a bit more freedom. Unsure of what to do, she returned to headquarters.
From there, her life seemed to pass in a haze of uncertainty and disbelief. This was not happening, she was still alive! She had years to go, she had time to spend. Now, she could set herself goals. She wanted to be more than she had before the incident. She didn’t want to go back to that time. She wanted to become more skilled, she wanted to be able to beat down those who threatened her world. Crazy dreams, she would tell herself. Stupid to be aiming so high. Just an extra ten years, be realistic.
Still, her determination hardened. The Order was sinking fast. Attacks were increasing, Bookman was gone, and people were dying all around. Day after day she trained, still as anti social as ever, if not more. Once again, she had lost friends and it was a blow to her. Instead, she used her determination to train hard, taking more missions than before. Her synch rate rose, everyday one day less that she would have to reach her goal. She became somewhat obsessed, nothing else mattered to her. It was so new and amazing to her to have a goal, and to have the time to achieve it.
A conflict with a Noah got fierce, and the exorcist that Keera was with was out of it, possibly permanently. A dark pain was blossoming in her chest, and she knew that it would be safer to try and get away. Instead she pushed, pulling more power from her Innocence, and then it happened.
She felt it. She did it. The sudden connection, the sudden ease. A sort of blissful ease. She was synchronised, but she was fully synched. The pain was there, but it was muffled by her awe and comfort. Rejuvenated, she lashed out. After barely holding her ground, the Noah was called away. By another Noah. Keera was too tired to be confused, and sent word with her mobile phone of where she was, and how the two of them were, then she passed out.
Still in shock, and chuffed to bits, Keera was shortly pronounced a general, taking up the role without a second thought. Eight years passed, and she spent her time travelling around, finally able to visit her scientist friend at the Asian branch, and in search of Innocence. She found herself lonely though, having been so used to the company of other exorcists and such. Deciding that, even if it was not permanent, she would return to headquarters. Hardened by the fighting that she’d seen, she returned with scars, stories and skills. Even so, found herself tagging along on some missions, for lack of young ‘uns to train.
