His mother wouldn't stop screaming into the phone. His father was making excuses as to why he wasn't coming home tonight, or wasn't home yesterday for that matter. He didn't really care, it was more entertaining than destructive. His mother still loved his father, even if he was a flake. But he couldn't help but worry, his father had been in a strange mood the day before. An innate paranoia had surrounded him as he sat with Terrence on the balcony of their penthouse. He was watching his back. What was odder was that he broke a sweat when he handed Terrence the ring and whispered not to take them off ever. His father always brought home things for him, and never cared if he broke them or sold them to his schoolmates. But he had specifically said not too. Then he just left.
Just like Terrence was doing right now. He was making his way out the door, yelling back at his mother, '' I'm going for a walk! '' It was a lame excuse, but he wanted to use it. His mother gave him a look that sent chills down his spine as he opened the door and stepped out into the hallway. He jogged down to the basement and tapped his foot impatiently at the elevator. Then he got into the empty elevator, which oddly stayed empty. Usually around this time of day it would be getting filled by now.. But no one was going out now. The fog was scaring them all.
The roads had no people in them, but the fog made it almost impossible to see any thing. He frowned, the usually familiar streets now felt like a mysterious maze. Soon he found himself in the back alleys. The fog was unusually thick for some reason. He looked to the ground as an odd figure began to creep up on it. The figure was a shadow. Terrence turned to see what it was, however just then he felt a loud knock against his chest.
The boy crashed against a wall, he stood up, stumbling as he looked up. Whatever had attacked him, he couldn't see it. He turned to run, only to run into a wall. Terrence cursed under his breath, he had wandered into the back alleys. He wouldn't be able to find his way out in this fog, and that thing might still be there. A loud clank caught his attention as he turned, only to see a metal tube ram into him and pin him against the fog in the mist.

Kai finally reached his destination. He didn’t like long travels. Mostly, because of the kids. Kids these days have no sanity. They were like little devious creatures running amuck. But, then again maybe it was because they accidentally splattered their food on him when he was on the plane. Then came the long task of driving all the way over here and it wasn’t as smooth sailing as he hoped. The driver had stopped a mile beyond the “fog” barrier saying that it was haunted or something of the sort.
In any event, when Kai reached the town he did feel a hint of something, unnatural. “Let’s get this over with,” mumbled Kai as he took off his this sunglasses and replaced them with his normal mask. He also wore his official uniform to help weed the Akuma out from the normal populace. This fog really was giving Kai an odd vibe. Maybe because they were like his Innocence in sense. Kai then blew out a huge gust of his innocence-produced ectoplasm. But, the weird thing was that his ectoplasm connected with the fog like mist. He was beginning to know why the higher ups sent him. He was able to see quiet well in this town because of the fog fusing with his own personal ectoplasm.
He was just about to take in the sites when he detected some movement. “Shit a civilian” he mumbled as he ran towards the Akuma, who was ready to claim it’s first victim. “Innocence” he said as his tatto behind his mask began to glow. To the outside it seemed as though his mask was glowing. He then curved his hand as if he was holding something and soon enough a sword was formed from the surrounding mist. He too a quick slash at the Akuma making it jolt back. The strike wasn’t made to kill, but to make some distance between the civilian and the Akuma.
He stared at the Akuma before getting ready for anything the Akuma was going to launch a them. “Are you all right?” has asked the civilian, still keeping his focus on the Akuma.

A chill ran down Lifune's spine as she looked upon the swirling fog that seemed to encase the New Zealand town. It twisted and turned in ghostly vapors, constantly on the move, dancing invitingly before her, calling to both the Exorcists. Yet, it made no effort to approach them. As if an imaginary line had been drawn, one which the mist could not cross. It was strange. Unnatural.
Lifune stared at the swirling mist, trying her best to keep the repulsion from showing upon her face, thin rust-coloured brows constricted above her pale brown gaze, as if death stares could keep the ghostly-tendrils from reaching out to ensnare her. She didn't spare a glance for Kai, even as he approached the town, seemingly unaffected by the chilling aura that the mist seemed to expel, unlike Lifune. The nineteen-year-old wanted nothing to do with the town, her mind echoing firm warnings that danger lurked just out of her sight, unseen things that she would do best to avoid. Unfortunately, both Kai and Lifune had been paired up to investigate the town, which was suspected to be connected with Innocence, making them a team. She had no choice but to follow. And follow she did.
Garbed in her Exorcist uniform, Lifune knew that if any Akuma were lurking nearby, it would be both she and Kai who would be attacked over the civilians. Their blue, white and silver attire marking them out as the Millennium Earl's emissary. Though her tall figure was relatively still as she walked through the mist, surprisingly unhindered, and her heart maintained a steady rhythm, her sharp brown eyes were constantly in motion. Zoning in on the simplest flicker of movement. The mist being transparent, which only added to Lifune's increasing sense of dread. Mist, as thick as this, should have blinded her without hesitation.
A flicker of motion caught her attention, followed by Kai's curse, and she saw him rush forward, reacting immediately and trailing after him, one gloved hand falling to the chain-like belts that secured her skirt to her waist. Brushing the painfully cold metal rod that she kept there, her fingers twitching as if itching to draw it out.
There was a civilian about to be attacked by an akuma, Kai keeping the akuma back with his Innocence, protecting the male stranger. The Akuma was known as a "Level One", being the weakest and most recently created version of unholy weaponry. Large, round and cannon-shaped, it possessed an androgynous almost inhuman face and could fire unlimited rounds of gunfire that turned all living organisms into dust if struck, with the exception of Parasitic Exorcists. They had no will power of their own, they couldn't even speak, all they could do was obey the terrible will of their Master. Only in death could they be free once more.
Standing with her body directly in front of the civilian, as if to shield him from their foe, Lifune stared directly into the eyes of the inhuman creature. She did not attempt to bring out her Innocence, not just yet. With one foe, Kai could easily deal with it upon his own. Yet, if there was one Akuma then there would be many more, and soon they would show themselves, eager to destroy their Innocence.
A heavy sigh echoed from parted pink lips, a gloved hand tightening upon the steel rod at her waist.
"Here we go again ..." Lifune muttered.

[OOC: Fail post is Fail x.x I tried to hard.] The stillness of the city was momentarily disturbed as a door in an alleyway was opened. Out of the doorway stepped Alexander. He was humming a tune resembling that of something from Mario but soon stopped has he reached the mouth of the alley. His topaz eyes scanned the unfamiliar city scape. "Objectives: destroy the innocence, defeat any exorcists, and protect allies." he muttered to himself. The mission seemed easy enough, but looks could be deceiving. After racking his brains for the information he skimmed before leaving he judged the direction he must go and started walking down the sidewalk.
The city was large and unfamiliar, though he had a general idea of where to search, it was meaningless to try and find a landmark. The fog that had settled upon the city. He didn't like the stillness of the city. It made him a bit more paranoid than usual. After a few moments he summoned a level one akuma to keep him company. One quickly answered his call and once it arrived he said "Alright buddy. Help me find the innocence so I can go home and play Halo" the Akuma mindlessly followed his commands. Alexander followed it as it headed off in the direction he supposed it thought innocence was. He had never really understood how the akuma worked. They were handy and practically limitless so he never thought to question.
Soon he could hear sounds that alerted him of a battle that was already going on. Silently he ordered the akuma to a halt. "How troublesome" he said under his breath. He had hoped that he wouldn't have to deal with any exorcists on this mission. He expected it since it dealt with the innocence but a man can dream can't he? He ordered the akuma to join it's brother (or sister) in the fight.
Alexander leaned against a building and watched as the akuma went to attack. He could have of course, joined in the fight but if the exorcists could be easily overcome by the force of two simple level one akuma what was the point in him joining in on the fight? Other then of course the whole thing ending quickly. The two exorcists were at the disadvantage. They had to protect a civilian while Alexander had nothing. As he observed the fight he noticed that one of the exorcists registered vaguely in his mind. A grin was slowly finding it's way on Alexanders face as he watched. The sight of exorcists filled him with the want to kill. It would be a nice change from the boring pace of life to fight them, but it would also be best to avoid the fight. There were of course so many more exorcists than Noah.
